Animation Project

Image
230 frames. As I was drawing, I was calculating the time spent on a singular frame. It was about 5 to 10 minutes. I will let you do the math. It was very long I can tell you that, but I’m very glad about how the final result turned out! I was inspired by Christopher Nolan’s first short film, Doodlebug (1998), which tells a similar story. By creating an animation, I was able to create a loop, and I think that the result is pretty cool.

AUTOSCOPY PROJECT

I wanted to tell something personal about my life, and it is my passion for filmmaking. While writing a story, you open yourself to the world and share your deepest thoughts. I tried to reproduce this feeling through the autoscopy project, by showing my passion, and what composes filmmaking, from the vision of a story to the writing of the script to the making of the film itself.

Multiplicity Project

Image
Through the multiplicity project, I wanted to tell a specific story. I recreated a scene of a party with multiple versions of myself. I think that every single version shows a different personality, and that’s what made this project interesting. I really had fun making it. I think that the challenging part was to mask every layer in Adobe Photoshop to make it look believable. Also, since the sunlight was slightly changing, I had to take the photos as fast as possible to keep the exposure the same.

Somewhere Project

For the somewhere project, I decided to appear in one of the scenes of the movie  Get Out. The most complicated part was to replicate the color palette of the picture to match with the photo of me. I watched a very good tutorial on how to perfectly recreate the color palette of a photo by using Abobe Photoshop. I think the result could have been more realistic if the quality of the original photo was a little bit sharper.  Original Pictures:

COMPOUND PALETTE                              SQUARE PALETTE                                                   MONOCHROME PALETTE Original Picture:  The purpose of the BW 2 Color Project was to recreate the color palette from an existing photo. I used three types of color palette: monochrome palette, square palette, and compound palette. By masking each part of my face on Photoshop, such as the eyebrows, the eyes, or the hair, I was able to easily transform the original picture.

Poster Project

"Real change emerges from the will to act" - Jean-Baptiste Hansali The poster project was a challenging but very fun project to do. While thinking of a strong and powerful message, we had to think of a significant way to express it. «Real change emerges from the will to act» is originally a quote that I wrote for one of the characters of my stories. I thought that placing «The Will to Act» in between my hands was a powerful way to say that only yourself can change things and become the person you want to be. Furthermore, the color palette helps to emphasize my message. The poster project was made by using Adobe Illustrator.
